1:1 Mindfulness Mentoring
Individual work for people who want a real practice relationship — someone to sit with, ask questions, and work through the harder terrain with.
What we work on
I work individually with people who want support with one or more of the following:
- Developing or deepening a meditation practice
- Bringing mindfulness into relationships and everyday life
- Working with stuck patterns or difficulty in a trauma-informed way
- Nervous-system-aware practice
- Identity, belonging, and community
- Integrating retreat or intensive practice into ordinary life
- Exploring relational mindfulness
My approach
My work is relational and trauma-informed, grounded in Buddhist practice, and attentive to the body, nervous system, identity, and social context. I don't teach a fixed curriculum. We work with what's actually present for you.
I'm particularly interested in how practice shows up in relationship: how we meet difficulty with others, how we carry our histories into the present moment, how the conditions of our lives shape what's possible in practice.
This is mindfulness mentoring and spiritual practice support, not psychotherapy. If you're working with significant mental health concerns, I'd encourage you to have a therapist alongside this work.
Who I especially enjoy working with
- BIPOC practitioners
- Young adults
- Meditation practitioners who want more relational practice
- Teachers and facilitators
- People looking for a grounded, culturally attuned, trauma-informed Buddhist practice
Background & training
I've been practicing in the Buddhist tradition since 2003, with extensive time on retreat. I'm currently in the four-year Spirit Rock / IMS Teacher Training Program.
I completed the three-year Organic Intelligence practitioner training in post-traumatic nervous system resilience. That training continues to inform the trauma-informed and nervous-system-aware approach I bring to mindfulness practice and 1:1 mentoring.
I've taught with Spirit Rock, IMS, East Bay Meditation Center, Inward Bound Mindfulness Education, and Dharma Homies, a community I co-founded centered on relational, trauma-informed Buddhist practice.
